Five Years of Agilix Solutions: Building More Value Together

Agilix Solutions celebrates 5 yearsFive years ago, French Gerleman and IAC Supply Solutions came together to form Agilix Solutions. While the merger united two respected organizations with deep histories, it also created something larger than either company could have achieved alone: a single organization with expanded expertise, broader capabilities, and a shared commitment to helping customers succeed.

Today, Agilix Solutions serves customers across multiple industries with automation, electrical, industrial supply, safety, networking, digital transformation, construction, and reliability solutions. That breadth is one of the company’s greatest strengths, but according to employees across the organization, the real difference is how those capabilities come together to solve customer challenges.

More Than a Merger

For Keith Hebert, Automation Team Leader, the concept of “One Agilix” starts with collaboration.

“When I think of One Agilix, the word ‘unity’ comes to mind,” Hebert said. “We succeed when we work together. We are moving more and more towards our namesake – a provider of solutions. Transactional business is good, but when we lean into our customer relationships and become that trusted partner, we’re then positioned better to provide more holistic solutions to the pain our customers deal with each and every day.”

That spirit of collaboration has helped transform Agilix from a distributor into a solutions provider. The merger wasn’t simply about bringing two companies together. It was about creating an organization capable of delivering broader support, deeper expertise, and greater value for customers.

Expanding What We Can Deliver

One of the clearest benefits of Agilix is the ability to bring together products, services, and expertise that help customers address multiple business needs through a single trusted partner. Steve Williams, Director of Industrial Supply and Safety, points to the growth of the company’s offering as a defining change over the last five years.

“The addition of Industrial Supply in the East and West Regions and Safety and Janitorial in the South Region has expanded our product offering exponentially,” Williams said. “Agilix can now offer services and provide solutions to all facets of a customer’s business.”

Today, customers can turn to Agilix for far more than traditional product distribution. Whether they need automation solutions, workplace safety products, industrial supplies, digital transformation, networking expertise, construction support, or reliability services, customers can find those capabilities under one roof.

The Power of Shared Expertise

Beyond products and services, the creation of Agilix has created new opportunities for employees to leverage expertise from across the organization.

Dennis White, Account Manager in Jonesboro, AR experienced that firsthand.

“One of the major changes we have experienced in the South Region is the ability to work closely with the Connected Infrastructure and Digital Solutions team,” White said. “Shortly after becoming Agilix Solutions, I reached out to explore new opportunities and was connected with new colleagues who helped us expand our capabilities and better support our customers.”

By connecting expertise across business units, Agilix was able to pursue opportunities that previously may have been out of reach while helping customers gain access to additional technologies and resources.

Stories like this demonstrate how combining specialized teams has allowed Agilix to pursue opportunities that may not have been possible before. Instead of operating as separate locations or business units, employees can draw upon expertise from across the company to solve customer challenges.

The benefits of a unified organization extend beyond technical expertise. They also show up in the everyday experience of serving customers.

White also recalls a time when obtaining inventory or support from another location could be difficult. Today, collaboration across branches has become a core strength.

“That cooperation has made it easier for us to respond quickly and effectively to our customers’ needs,” White said.

The same sentiment is echoed throughout the organization. Employees consistently describe a culture where people are willing to share knowledge, resources, and support to help one another succeed. That culture is what turns the phrase “One Agilix” from a slogan into a reality.

Investing in the Future

The growth of Agilix Solutions over the last five years has been about more than expanding capabilities. It also has been about anticipating customer needs and investing in areas that help customers navigate change.

Vickie Katashuk, Senior Credit Manager, sees that adaptability as one of the company’s defining strengths.

“The company always seems to be a step ahead, adapting quickly to changing market conditions and customer needs,” Katashuk said.

That ability to anticipate market needs and invest in new capabilities continues to shape Agilix today. Whether it is expanding product categories, strengthening digital tools, or adding specialized expertise, the company remains focused on helping customers navigate an increasingly complex operating environment.

The results are visible in the customer experience as well. Katashuk points to the company’s digital capabilities as one example.

“Our customers use our website to pay bills and review open invoices, giving them convenient access to the information they need without having to contact us for assistance.”

At the same time, Agilix continues to invest in people and specialized resources that help customers solve problems more effectively. Dave Godsey, Account Manager in Kansas City, sees that evolution through the growth of teams dedicated to delivering outcomes:

“I am excited to have a dedicated team focused on project management because it strengthens our ability to solve problems, deliver effective solutions, and create a better experience for our customers.”

These investments in people, technology, and customer support continue to position Agilix for the future while maintaining the service-first approach that has defined the company from the beginning.
