Take a deeper dive into the motion side of mechatronics.
Join us for a full-day of learning and guided training at our Mechatronics Event. Gain a better understanding of motion control. Mechatronics is changing the way OEMs and Manufacturers approach product development and manufacturing. It includes four key areas of consideration – Mechanical Systems, Control Systems, Electronic Systems and Computers. During this event, you will learn more about the motion control side of the mechatronics solution with a focus on mechanical and control systems.
Two agenda tracks are available.

Track 1
This track will provide an overview of motion basics. Develop a general knowledge and awareness of motion control from a high level to understand projects and applications. An ideal track to get acclimated to key terminology and motion concepts and requirements.
What you will learn:
- Physics and motion
- Sizing
- Installation considerations
- Best practices
- 5 minutes to Motion
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (CST)
Includes breakfast, four hours of learning, and lunch.
Note: Track 1 attendees are invited to attend the afternoon session with Rockwell Automation if interested in learning additional content around the motion side of mechatronics. Laptop required.
Track 2
This track will provide a deeper technical dive into motion. This track offers a more in-depth and hands-on experience with advanced Rockwell labs through On Course. It is a great opportunity to learn more about linear motor/motion best practices with LinMot (integrate, install, configure start-up a linear motor) and Rockwell Automation (advanced motion commands).
What you will learn:
A.M Session
- Anatomy of Linear Motors
- Studio 5000 Integration
- Create a motion profile
P.M. Session
- Motion Fundamentals with K5700 or Armor Kinetix
- 5 Minutes to Gearing
- 5 Minutes to Camming
- Rockwell Automation Tuningless Features
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (CST)
- Includes breakfast, morning hands-on session Learning with LinMot (10 seats available), lunch, and afternoon advanced training with Rockwell Automation. No seat restrictions for afternoon session.
